The Last of Us 2, Game of the year of 2020

One of the most commented video games of 2020, has been The Last of Us 2, successor of the highly acclaimed The Last of Us from 2013, the expectations for the sequel was high and the fans expected to receive a game that fulfilled their own expectations, and once the game was released, the critics didn’t wait to drop, and it has been a very diverse debate. One of the most heard critics to the game’s story, are focused on (spoiler alert for the ones that haven’t finished the game yet) the twist of the first act, the death of the first game’s main character, Joel. This character saves our protagonist for this second game, Ellie, a child in the first game, who now it’s an adult trying to live in a post apocalyptic world, where most of the population died because of a global pandemic, which she’s inmune. This secret drives her life and her relationships to hide for everyone her condition, because the last time that someone knew about her immunity, something very bad happened, and the consequences ended up killing Joel. So, the weight of the story lays on Ellie’s search for revenge, on the ones that killed the only person that she considered a father. I really think that the story is a diverse and new way to lead the principal theme of the first game and make us love a character that captivates our hearts like Ellie and her girlfriend Dina, the new generation console like ps4 make this new game had a completely new experience, visual and audio, make this game win a lot of awards, included the game of the year.

 LASAGNA 

One of the many things I really enjoy it’s cooking for me, my family and girlfriend. So my favorite meal to cook is Lasagna, because of the steps and because of the many things I can add to it. The first step, it’s to prepare the ingredients for the sauce and the meat, and I really like to mix two types of sauce, a white with mushrooms and chicken, and a tomato sauce with meat, onion, carrot and vegetables. Between the capes of lasagna, I used to use potato and eggplant slices, so the capes would be: one cape of tomato sauce, one cape of lasagna and potato or eggplant, the white mushroom sauce, and lasagna, and between every cape I add grated cheese. I’m such a fan because of the many flavors we can add to all of the capes, like chicken, vegetables and cream.  I tried to steam cook every vegetable, and the meat I tried to not overcook it on the plank, so that it doesn’t impact my body with calories or fats.

I started to ride my bike everyday around 2019, and now I go everywhere on my bicycle. By the time the pandemic of Covid 19, the fear of sharing a common space with other people, to get to my girlfriend’s house I started to go on my bike, that’s around eight to ten minutes at a regular speed. Now, I try every day to do a little race, either to get to my house from my girlfriend's place, or a route that takes me around an hour or more. Getting on my bike helped me a lot to quit smoking, a bad habit that I got when I was fifteen years old, that stayed with me until last year. I think of this as an achievement, because I tried many times to quit something that calmed down my anxiety, but doing so gave bad health and a very bad shape of my body. Taking care of my health and my body it’s a issue that never matters that much to me, so this is an aspect I rescue from a very bad year such as 2020.

I Sat by the Ocean

I was a 18 years old youth student, nearly graduated from High School, and In my naive little mind, I choose Art's theory and history, in the University of Chile. I fell in love with aesthetic and art´s history, the very foundation of the curricular bases of my career. It wasn't easy for me to adapt the times of study, and at the end of my first year I failed on two of the most important grades, and the next year I failed again in one of those, so, I get belated on my grades and my career. 

I evaluated the chances, and thought to leave my career, but with the support of my parents and my head teacher I catch up and now I'm in my last year, ready to defend my thesis the next year, so i'm very excited because my thesis includes photografy and aesthetic, my favorite topics and themes of my career.

But as a child my dream job was being a footballer, but the talent and the absence of a school of football nearby, and also other plans for me by my father, made that dream impossible. As and young adolescent, my dream change and I thought I could became a great lawyer, bassically because I was very good defending my point of view on an argument, and in such a young age I used to devour books in a little time. But then I realize that i had other talents, such as drawing and the study of historicall facts, bassically in my youth, I used to draw, watch all day long History Channel and play football. All of this convince me that I could study to be a History teacher, but my score in the PSU didn't get me there, so I was debating between Art´s History or Graphic Desing. I choose this career as a challenge against myself, and it didn't dessapoint me.

 My future trip to Italy

In a certain and nearist future, I would like to visit Italy, looking to learn and know museums, the most famous cities and the italian gastronomy. The things that I'm looking for the most to know are the Coliseum in Rome, the canals in Venice, the city of Florence that motivate one of my favorite video game "Assassin's Creed 2", looking around the city and a close relationship with Leonardo da Vinci, this game gave us a very faithfull perspective about the italian renascense, a very interesting one. I would very like to learn new things about my career, getting a new perspective from the fundamentals concepts, and found a new cultural fundation, in every aspect i could. As a turist, i would love to know every city and corner of the country, and as a graduated of art´s history it would be perfect to live there, in Florence specifically. I think nevertheless, that travel to another country, otherwise in europe or our neighbors here on southamerica would be a enriching experience.
